Lester Moré (born 13 September 1978 in Ciego de Avila, Cuba) is a Cuban footballer, currently playing for Charleston Battery in the USL First Division.

International career
A powerful striker, Moré made his debut for Cuba in 1996 and was a squad member at the 1998[1], 2003[2], 2005[3] and 2007 Gold Cup Finals[4].
He also played in 13 FIFA World Cup qualifiers between 1996 and 2004.[5] He has collected over 60 caps, scoring 29 goals.
Defection to the United States
His final appearance for the national team was at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in June 2007 against Mexico. During the tournament, Moré and Osvaldo Alonso fled the Cuban team camp, effectively defecting from the Republic of Cuba. [6]
Club career
Moré joined Charleston Battery for the 2008 season. He will play for Club Atlético River Plate Puerto Rico in 2009.
